Lancaster Wins Second Straight WAC Award

Freshman Jade Lancaster went 2-0 in singles play over the weekend to help the Redhawks take two straight wins.

DENVER – Seattle U freshman Jade Lancaster has won the title of the Western Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Singles Player of the Week for Feb. 10-16, the WAC announced on Tuesday.
 
Lancaster went 2-0 in singles play over the weekend, defeating British Columbia's Michelle Lim 6-4, 6-0, as well as Whitman's Kattie Pak, 6-1, 6-0. This is Lancaster's second WAC honor, the first coming just last week when she and doubles partner Hannah Gianan won the conference's Women's Doubles Team of the Week for Feb. 3-9.
 
The Redhawks will be back in action at 5:00 p.m. PT on Friday, Feb. 21, with a neutral-court matchup in Spokane, Wash., against Fresno State.
