ELK GROVE, CALIF. – Seattle U men’s golf heads out for their third tournament of the season on Monday as they take on 14 other teams at the Sacramento State Invitational, held on March 4-5 at the par-72 Valley Hi Country Club in Elk Grove, Calif. Shotgun starts will be at 8:30 AM PT on both days.
The Redhawks will send their usual travel roster of freshman Jack Rahon, junior Greg Gionfriddo, freshman Nathan Cogswell, sophomore Gabe Spach and junior Zack Overstreet to Sacramento. Sophomore Quinton Borseth will be competing as an individual. In addition to Seattle U, the field contains teams from British Columbia, Cal Baptist, Cal Poly, Cal State Fullerton, Fresno State, Grand Canyon, Long Beach State, Omaha, Pacific, Sacramento State, Sierra Nevada, UC Irvine, UC Santa Barbara and Weber State.
Head Coach Marc Chandonnet is ready to get started. “We have had some nice individual conversations after our two most recent events about ways to improve our practice,” he said. “We’re happy about the progress we’ve made, and I’m trying to keep everyone positive and working hard. The team is looking forward to making this our best event so far.”
