COACH’S COMMENTS
“We’re such a work in progress right now,” said Head Coach Jim Hayford following the win over Puget Sound on Nov. 8. “A great effort tonight by Puget Sound showed us how much better we need to be as individuals and collectively. And that will come with more and more familiarity and the guys playing with one another.”

SHOWARE SHOWCASE
Seattle U is 4-1 in games played at the accesso ShoWare Center. The arena opened in 2009 and from 2011 through 2015, the Redhawks hosted an annual ShoWare College Showcase game at the Kent, Wash., arena. Seattle U beat The Evergreen State, 77-54, on Nov. 28, 2011 in the inaugural game. The Redhawks fell 75-74 to CSU Bakersfield on Mar. 6, 2013 and then went on to win three straight at ShoWare – 70-67 versus Norfolk State (Dec. 19, 2013), 72-33 versus Pacific Lutheran (Dec. 1, 2014) and 58-48 versus Great Falls (Nov. 25, 2015).

ABOUT THE BULLDOGS
Bryant University enters a new era in 2018-19 with first-year head coach Jared Grasso at the helm. The 38-year-old former NEC guard most recently worked for the last eight seasons at Iona, where he helped the Gaels to unparalleled success both at Iona and in the MAAC. The Bulldogs return seven letterwinners, including three starters, from last year’s squad. Bryant dropped a 97-63 decision to Rhode Island to open the season.
