OREM, Utah – (Sept. 30) Seattle University women’s soccer fell, 3-0, at Utah Valley Saturday night. The game served as the Redhawks’ final non-conference game on the regular season schedule.
“It was an extremely disappointing first half,” said Coach Julie Woodward. “We stepped it up a bit in the second half. I think Utah Valley deserves a lot of credit. They played very well and were extremely organized. We have a lot to build on this (coming) week.”
The hosts scored in the second minute and never looked back, adding two more goals in the first half. The teams played a scoreless second frame at Clyde Field.
Mackenzie Curry made three saves in net for SU. Natasha Howe put a shot on goal.
Seattle U heads to Chicago State and UMKC to begin Western Athletic Conference (WAC) action next weekend.
