SEATTLE – (Apr. 2) Competing against a handful of Pacific Northwest rivals Saturday on Lake Washington, Seattle University women's rowing got a first-place finish from its novice 8+ boat to highlight a trio of events at the Husky Invite, hosted by the University of Washington.
"I am very happy with the novice 8+, and 4+ results," said Head Coach Jenny Park. "Those boats raced very well. The varsity has some work to do, but we are excited about continuing to figure things out before Covered Bridge in two weeks."
The Redhawks' novice squad, officially competing in the third varsity 8+ race, won handily over Portland, Pacific Lutheran and Seattle Pacific. A mix of varisty and novice placed in a close third in the women's varisty 4+ race.
Seattle U is back in action on Saturday, April 15 at the Covered Bridge Regatta on Dexter Lake in Eugene, Ore.
