DENVER – (Apr. 5)  Zack Overstreet has been named the Western Athletic Conference Men’s Golfer of the Week, respectively, for the week of March 29 through April 4, the league office announced Wednesday.

Overstreet, a freshman from Issaquah, Wash. (Issaquah HS), led SU to a third-place team finish at the Redhawk Invitational, carding a 2-under-par 210 to finish seventh among 93 golfers. After opening the tournament with a 1-over-par 72 in round one and an even-par 72 in round two, he posted the second-lowest round of the tournament on the final 18, going 3-under-par with a 67 to earn the top-10 finish. As a team, Seattle U was just seven strokes back from team champion Iowa State and six strokes behind second-place Northwestern.

This marks the second straight week that a Redhawk has earned the award. Joe Harvie was named Golfer of the Week for Mar. 22-28. Harvie has won the award twice this season, giving SU three total Players of the Week this spring.
