DALLAS (Dec. 20) - Seattle University women’s basketball wraps up its six-game road trip with a non-conference contest at SMU on Wednesday, Dec. 21. Tip-off is set for 11 a.m. Pacific (1 p.m. Central) at Moody Coliseum.

Seattle U (3-10) fell, 66-62, at Mountain West power Colorado State on Sunday. Alexis Montgomery scored 20 second-half points, hitting four three-pointers, as the Redhawks pushed the Rams into the final seconds at Moby Arena.

SMU (8-4) is coming off a 61-36 win over Texas Southern on Monday. Alicia Froling and Kiara Perry combined for 23 points and 12 rebounds to lead a balanced attack. The Mustangs will play their fourth game in six days on Wednesday.

Kaylee Best paces SU with 16.5 points and 4.3 rebounds per game. She tallied 26 points in the Redhawks’ 75-72 win at Denver on Friday. Montgomery is next with 14.8 points and 6.8 boards a game in 13 starts. She is shooting a WAC-best 44.7 percent from the field this season.

SMU is the American Athletic Conference’s top shot-blocking squad with 6.3 per game, good for 15th nationally. Dai’Ja Thomas leads the American with 21 blocks. Froling is the Mustangs’ top performer with 14.6 points and a league-high 10.4 rebounds per game. McKenzie Adams is averaging 10.4 points and 4.4 boards per contest.

The Mustangs were voted to finish fifth in the AAC preseason poll.

Wednesday will mark the first meeting between the programs.
