SEATTLE (Nov. 2) - Seattle University men’s soccer heads to Air Force for the 2016 regular season finale on Saturday, Nov. 5. The Western Athletic Conference (WAC) contest is slated for a 5 p.m. kickoff at Cadet Soccer Stadium.

The Redhawks enter the match with an 11-4-2 record, including a 7-0-2 WAC mark. They defeated UNLV, 4-1, on Oct. 27, celebrating senior night at Championship Field. Four different Redhawks scored as SU extended its home winning streak to 16 games-the longest stretch in Division I.

Seattle U needs a win and a Utah Valley loss or tie to clinch first place in the WAC. Utah Valley plays at Incarnate Word Saturday. SU and Utah Valley have both secured first-round byes in next week’s WAC Championship in Orem, Utah.

Air Force is 11-6-1 overall and 5-3-1 in the conference. The Falcons tied, 1-1, at UTRGV in their last outing. With a win or tie and a UNLV loss or tie, Air Force will claim the #3 seed in the WAC Championship.

The contest pits two of the most dangerous scoring units in the nation. Air Force ranks seventh in Division I with 2.11 goals per game, while SU is just behind at 2.06 goals per match, standing 10th nationally.

Alex Roldan paces the SU attack with eight goals this year. Seven other Redhawks have scored multiple goals this season. Jordan Hadden has been stellar in net since taking over as the starter. The senior has a 7-0-2 mark, having allowed just five goals in 10 matches. His .865 save percentage ranks fourth nationally and tops the WAC.

Austin Dewing is one of the top scorers in the conference, having recorded eight goals and five assists in 18 matches. John Wendy has been the Falcons’ primary goalkeeper in 2016, putting up a 1.31 goals against average with a .733 save percentage.
