SEATTLE (Nov. 3) - Seattle University women’s basketball hosts The Evergreen State College in an exhibition game on Saturday, Nov. 5. The contest is set for a 4 p.m. tip-off at the Connolly Complex.
Seattle U dropped a 53-45 decision to Seattle Pacific last weekend. Kaylee Best led the Redhawks with 12 points, to go along with five rebounds and five steals. Jacinta Beckley and Claire Metoyer each added eight points in the contest.
The Geoducks fell, 76-53, to Saint Martin’s in an exhibition match on Tuesday night. Zaria Jones led Evergreen with 16 points and six steals. Asiyah Davis recorded 14 points and Corina Tacardon added 11 points, as she hit three three-pointers.
Coach Suzy Barcomb is entering her first season at SU. She has won over 300 games in her 17-year career. Barcomb previously coached at Puget Sound and Cal State East Bay.
The Redhawks open the 2016-17 regular season on Friday, Nov. 11. Idaho visits the Connolly Complex for a 5 p.m. non-conference game.
