DENVER (Oct. 31) – Natasha Howe of the Seattle University women’s soccer team has been named the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Offensive Player of the Week for Oct. 24-30.

The redshirt senior recorded a hat trick in SU’s 3-1 win at Utah Valley on Friday night. Howe scored to tie the match in the 16th minute and later posted two goals in a 2:09 span of the second half, giving the Redhawks the lead. Howe is the first SU player to tally a three-goal outing since Oct. 7, 2012, when Stephanie Verdoia pulled off the feat in a 5-1 home win over Idaho.

Seattle University wrapped up the regular season with a 7-0 WAC record, extending its conference regular season unbeaten streak to 16 games. The Redhawks have earned the top seed at this weekend’s WAC Championship. They will face the winner of Thursday’s Utah Valley/New Mexico State quarterfinal on Friday at 2 p.m.

Seattle U picked up six WAC weekly awards this season. The season-long major awards and all-conference teams will be announced at Wednesday’s WAC Championship Banquet in Kansas City.
