SEATTLE (Oct. 27) – Seattle University women’s basketball hosts Seattle Pacific in an exhibition game on Saturday, October 29. The contest is set for a 4 p.m. tipoff at the Connolly Complex. The game is free to the public.

Coach Suzy Barcomb takes over the Redhawks’ program this season. She spent the last six years at Cal State East Bay, guiding the Pioneers to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in school history.

The Redhawks return several contributors from last season, including senior Kaylee Best, who was named to the All-WAC Preseason Team earlier this month. She led the team in assists (3.7), steals (2.3), and free throw percentage (81.7) in the 2015-16 campaign.

Seattle Pacific won 12 games last season. The Falcons play in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference. Junior Courtney Hollander led the team in scoring (12.8) and rebounding (8.1) last year and earned GNAC Preseason All-Conference honors this season.

SU will host a pair of exhibitions of games at the Connolly Complex. Evergreen visits campus on Saturday, Nov. 5. Barcomb’s squad opens the regular season on Friday, Nov. 11, as the Redhawks host Idaho.
