SEATTLE - (Sept. 23) Riding a two-game win streak, Seattle University men’s soccer makes the brief trip north to face the University of Washington at Husky Soccer Stadium on Sunday, Sept. 25. Kick off is scheduled for 5 p.m. and the game will air live on the Pac-12 Network. The match-up marks the inaugural Seattle Cup, presented by the Washington Athletic Club.

ABOUT THE REDHAWKS
• SU made its Championship Field debut last week, earning back-to-back wins over College of Charleston and Davidson.
Alex Roldan was the hero against CofC, scoring the golden-goal winner four minutes into overtime to five SU a 2-1 win.
• Four different Redhawks scored in a 4-0 thumping of Davidson. Jeff Rose, Julio Rubio, David Olsen and Medo Youssef found the back of the net in the shutout.
• Seven Redhawks have combined to score 12 goals through seven games.
Alex Roldan has three goals and one assist through seven games to lead the Redhawks with seven points.
• The Redhawks were the preseason favorite to repeat as Western Athletic Conference champions, according to a vote by the league’s 11 head coaches.
• Senior defender Kyle Bjornethun and junior forward David Olsen were selected as WAC Preseason Defensive and Offensive Player of the Year, respectively.
• The duo were also named to the watch list for the 2016 Missouri Athletic Club’s (MAC) Hermann Trophy. Olsen was a semifinalist for the 2015 WAC Hermann Trophy, Bjornthun was the 2015 WAC Defensive Player of the Year. The two were also named NSCAA All-Americans last season with Olsen earning first team honors and Bjornethun picking up second team honors.
David Olsen concluded last season tied for the nation’s best in goals scored, finishing the year with 16.

ABOUT THE HUSKIES (5-2-0)
UW enters Sunday’s match with a 5-2-0 overall record. The Huskies earned back-to-back home wins over Davidson, 3-2 in 2OT, and College of Charleston, 2-0, last weekend. Through seven games, David Coly has three goals and two assists for eight points while Handball Bwana has two goals and four assists for eight points. In goal, Auden Schiller has played the majority of minutes. He boasts a 4-2-0 record with two shutouts and just six goals allowed (0.96 GAA).

SERIES HISTORY AGAINST WASHINGTON
Seattle U is 1-6-1 all-time against UW. The first SU win in the series was a thrilling 2-1 victory over then No. 10 UW on Sept. 24, 2015. David Olsen and Hamza Haddadi scored goals in the upset at Championship Field.

CELEBRATING 50 YEARS
Seattle U Athletics is Celebrating the start of soccer traditions at Seattle University with a tribute to the '67 men's soccer team on Sept. 30, 2016. Dinner will be served early followed by introductions of all men's soccer alumni on field at the SU vs. Utah Valley game. Come celebrate a great 50 years and show your Redhawk spirit at the game.
