BOX SCORE
Hanover, N.H. - (Sept. 11) David Olsen tallied his first goal of the season, but Dartmouth put away two second-half scores to rally past the Seattle University men’s soccer team, 2-1, as the Redhawks wrapped up an East Coast swing Sunday.
Olsen found the back of the net less than four minutes into the run of play, striking a shot that glanced off a Big Green defender and into the back of the net.
SU (2-3-0) finished the half with a 10-5 shot advantage and the 1-0 lead. The tide would turn in the second frame, however. Dartmouth (1-1-2) evened the score five minutes in as Matt Danilack headed home a cross from Matt Greer.
The game-winner came in the 83rd minute as Justin Donawa received a pass from Noah Paravicini on a counter attack and struck a shot from just inside the box.
The Redhawks had one chance to tie the score in the final seconds, but a shot by Nathan Aune went wide of the goal.
After playing their first five games on the road, Seattle U finally returns home to Championship Field this week, hosting the College of Charleston on Friday, Sept. 16 at 7 p.m. and Davidson on Sunday, Sept. 18 at 3 p.m.
