SEATTLE - (Sept. 8) A season-opening five-game road stretch concludes this week for Seattle U men’s soccer as the Redhawks to the East Coast for a pair of match-ups against Ivy League schools. The trip begins Thursday, Sept. 8 at Harvard, followed by a Sunday, Sept. 11 meeting at Dartmouth.

ABOUT THE REDHAWKS
• After opening the season with a 2-0 shutout of West Virginia, SU has dropped back-to-back matches, including a 1-0 setback to Akron and a 4-2 defeat at Gonzaga (Sept. 4).
• The Redhawks attempted to rally from a 2-0 deficit in Spokane, as second-half goals by Alex Roldan and Julio Rubio evened the scoring at 2-2 midway through the second half. But the Zags answered with two more goals late.
Alex Roldan has two goals through three games to lead the Redhawks with four points.
• After beginning the season ranked No. 14 by the NSCAA, SU is now receiving votes in the poll.TopDrawerSoccer.com ranks the Redhawks at No. 24 this week.
Alex Roldan and Joe Harris each scored in the win over the Mountaineers while Jeff Rose and Julio Rubio each picked up an assist.
• The Redhawks were the preseason favorite to repeat as Western Athletic Conference champions, according to a vote by the league’s 11 head coaches.
• Senior defender Kyle Bjornethun and junior forward David Olsen were selected as WAC Preseason Defensive and Offensive Player of the Year, respectively.
• The duo were also named to the watch list for the 2016 Missouri Athletic Club’s (MAC) Hermann Trophy. Olsen was a semifinalist for the 2015 WAC Hermann Trophy, Bjornthun was the 2015 WAC Defensive Player of the Year. The two were also named NSCAA All-Americans last season with Olsen earning first team honors and Bjornethun picking up second team honors.
David Olsen concluded last season tied for the nation’s best in goals scored, finishing the year with 16.

ABOUT THE CRIMSON (1-0-1)
Five All-Ivy selections returned for the Crimson in 2016, and the squad is off to a 1-0-1 start after defeating Villanova, 2-1, and playing even with Hofstra, 0-0 (2OT). Seniors Andrew Wheeler-Omiunu and Jake Freeman and freshman Matthew Glass have tallied two points apiece, while sophomore Cesar Farias has recorded one.

SERIES HISTORY AGAINST HARVARD
The Redhawks and Crimson have just one previous meeting, a 2-0 win for SU on Sept. 18, 2015 at Championship Field. Sergio Rivas scored twice in the match, propelling the Redhawks to victory.

ABOUT THE BIG GREEN (0-0-2)
Dartmouth is 0-0-2 on the season, earning 1-1 double-overtime draws at Xavier and Kentucky. Wyatt Omsberg and Noah Paravicini have been the goal scorers for the Big Green while James Hickok has played all 220 minutes in goal, making 11 saves.

SERIES HISTORY AGAINST DARTMOUTH
Seattle U has just one meeting against the Big Green - a 2-1 victory in Seattle on Sept. 20, 2015. The Redhawks battled from behind in the win on Championship Field, scoring twice in the game’s final 17 minutes on goals by Alex Roldan and Sergio Rivas.
