WAC Returns to Emerald City
Seattle University plays host to the 2016 Western Athletic Conference tournament this weekend after hosting the 2014 version two seasons ago. SU hopes for better weather this weekend as two years ago, there was an eight-hour rain delay on day one.

Tickets
Tickets can be purchased at the gate to Logan Field or prior to the weekend by calling the Redhawk Ticket Office at (206) 398-GOSU. Alll tickets are general admission and can be purchased as an all-session or single session (one day) pass. All-Session passes can be purchased for $25 (adults), $20 (seniors 65+), and $10 (youth below age 18 and WAC students w/ valid ID). Single-Session passes can be purchased for $12 (adults), $10 (seniors 65+), $5 (youth below age 18 and WAC students w/ valid ID), and $3 (groups of 15 or more).

Links to live stats and scores throughout the weekend can be found on GoSeattleU.com as well as Tournament Central on WACSports.com. The entire tournament will be broadcast on the WAC Digital Network (www.wacsports.com/live).

Reuble Named WAC P.O.W.
After earning the decision in all four SU wins on the week, including three complete games with a 1.35 ERA and 17 strikeouts, Alyssa Reuble was named WAC Pitcher of the Week for the week of Mar. 21-27, 2016.

Larkins Receives First WAC Honor
Freshman Andie Larkins was named WAC Pitcher of the Week (Feb. 22-28), receiving the Redhawks’ first weekly honor of the season. She earned a 2-1 record and held opponents to .241 average vs. St. Mary’s and Sacramento State.

New in Town
Geoff Hirai starts his first season at the helm of the Redhawk team after most recently serving as associate head coach for Oregon State. Hirai also previously has experience on the coaching staffs at Virginia and Washington. See page four for more info on Hirai. After re-joining the Redhawk staff in 2014, assistant coach Brandi Gordon remains on staff, starting her third season back at Seattle U. Mariah Dawson joins the Redhawks as pitching coach.

WAC Poll
Paige Bouska and Izzy Geronimo represent Seattle U on the Preseason All-WAC Team after a vote of the league’s six head coaches. NM State was picked to defend their league title win while Grand Canyon and Bakersfield were picked to round out the top three. UMKC, Seattle U, and Utah Valley were picked fourth through sixth, respectively.

NLI’s
In November, Hirai announced his first recruiting class in OF/2B Cherise Silvan (Folsom, Calif.), IF/C Jessica Flanagan (Woodland, Wash.), and pitcher Carley Nance (Maple Valley, Wash.).

2015 Highlights
-Paige Bouska recorded a team-high 15-game hitting streak (Mar. 21-Apr. 17)
-Bubba Morrow left SU as the program’s all-time doubles leader while Lisa Maulden graduated second in the category and Jenny Hurst finished in the top five
-Paige Bouska represented the Redhawks on the WAC All-Tournament Team
-Bubba Morrow was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team
-Geronimo was named First Team All-Conference while Morrow and Bouska were named to the Second Team
