Seattle University (15-25, 1-6 WAC) had a two-run lead early in the contest but allowed CSU Bakersfield (11-26, 3-4 WAC) to come from behind to earn a 7-2 win in the Western Athletic Conference series opener.

Isabella Geronimo (San Mateo, Calif.) drove in the first two runs to give Seattle U a 2-0 lead through two and a half innings on a double and a single, both to center field.

The Roadrunners took over the lead in the bottom of the third, 3-2, on RBI singles by Chris Hipa and Kaylynn Burt and an unearned run on an SU throwing error and would extend the lead with a run in the fourth and three more in the fifth.

Paige Bouska (Keizer, Ore.), Erika Rodgers (Glendora, Calif.), and Geronimo each picked up a pair of hits to lead the Redhawks at the plate. Alyssa Reuble (Lynnwood, Wash.) suffered the loss in the circle, giving up three runs on eight hits while striking out two in three innings pitched. Andie Larkins (Tucson, Ariz.) entered the game to pitch the final three innings, giving up four runs on five hits while striking out two.
