“This weekend we had some ups and downs,” said head coach Geoff Hirai. “We just need to keep getting better and be about our culture. We will work hard this week and fix the little things and be ready for our trip to Santa Clara next weekend.”
Next weekend, the Redhawks head to Santa Clara’s Bronco Classic to face Idaho State, CSU Fullerton, and host Santa Clara.
Game 1: UC Riverside 4, Seattle U 1

In the next half inning, the Highlanders scored three on a Stephanie Tickemyer homer to left field and would add another run in the top of the third on a single to left field from Natalie Sanchez.
The Redhawks left two on base in the second, third, and fourth innings, including a pair in scoring position in the third, but could not further add to their tally.

Game 2: Stanford 8, Seattle U 2
The Redhawks would take a 2-0 lead through the first two innings, scoring a run apiece in the opening two frames. Molly Campbell (San Diego, Calif.) scored first on a sac fly before Sara Dominguez (Santa Ynez, Calif.) hit a home run in the second.
Seattle U with a 2-0 lead, a hot-hitting third inning for Stanford changed the momentum as the Cardinal scored eight in the bottom of the frame. Arden Pettit scored first on a trio of singles before Victoria Molina drove home two on a triple to right field after the Redhawks stopped a potential run from scoring with an out at home. Eight total hits, including a Lauren Wegner single and a two-RBI single from Molly Fowkes would give Stanford enough lead to finish the win, 8-2.
Bouska went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Seattle U while the Cardinal’s scoring was split between seven different players.
In the circle, Alyssa Reuble (Lynnwood, Wash.) suffered the loss, allowing all eight runs, only three earned, on nine hits while striking out two in 2 2/3 innings pitched. Haley Snyder picked up the win for Stanford with a complete game outing, striking out four.
