“Overall, it was a tough match against a good team,” said assistant coach Matt Look. “We got off to a slow start but rallied for three strong singles wins at the end. John’s match was a microcosm of the team match; he battled until the last ball. Michael also had a great individual win pulling through in a 10-point tiebreak.”
After Eastern Washington swept doubles to take a 1-0 lead, the Eagles would clinch the match with three straight singles wins. The Redhawks battled back with three singles wins to close the match, 4-3.
