Hooks transfers to Seattle U from the University of Colorado, where she made one of the strongest debuts in CU history as the University of Colorado Female Freshman of the Year. During her first campaign, she was also named to the Pac-12 All-Freshman Team and participated in the U-20 USWNT Training Camp. In 2014, she was named to the All-Pac-12 Second Team, as well as being named University of Colorado Female Athlete of the Year. She also received All-Pacific Region Third Team honors from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).
Ovenell started her collegiate career at the University of San Diego after graduating from Seattle Preparatory School in 2015. At Seattle Prep, she was a Second Team All-State honoree, was named Firsst Team All-Metro 3A, and was voted her team’s captain as a senior. She also played club soccer for Crossfire Premier ECNL as well as Eastside FC, where she helped lead the team to back-to-back Far West Region League Northwest Division Championships (2013, 2014) and a Washington State Championship (2012).
