Moravec scored both game-winners this weekend, assisting the remaining three goals in a 4-0 win at Grand Canyon, matching her career high five points (last: Oct. 2, 2015 at Chicago State). Among all NCAA Division I women’s soccer players, she ranks seventh in total assists and 21st in total points, as well as 10th in assists per game and 27th in points per game. She leads the league in points (28), assists (10), ranks second in goals (9), and third in game-winners (3).
Beck, receiving her third honor of the season, led a Redhawk defensive line that posted their 10th and 11th shutouts of the season this weekend at CSU Bakersfield, 2-0, and Grand Canyon, 4-0. SU allowed just six shots on goal in the two matches combined and has shut out seven of their last eight opponents.
As a team, the Redhawks rank 10th in the nation in NCAA Division I shutout percentage (64.7 percent) and 15th in won-lost-tied percentage (79.4 percent).
After this weekend, Seattle U (12-2-3, 7-0-2 WAC) moved up to the top spot in the WAC and has outscored their opponents 25-2 in the month of October.
The Redhawks will honor this year’s senior class as part of Saturday’s festivities (7 p.m. kickoff) and those wearing a Halloween costume will get free admission. With a win on Saturday vs. Utah Valley, the Redhawks will clinch their third straight WAC regular season title.
