The Huskies were led by Julianne Alvarez, who set tournament records for lowest round (68) and lowest 54-hole score (211) as she won by five strokes over teammate Sarah Rhee.

“We are extremely pleased with the success of the event. We have a special opportunity to honor one of Seattle U’s greatest legends, and it was fun to have her on site,” Seattle U head coach Marc Chandonnet said. “The team played well, especially today to close out the tournament.”

The Seattle University women’s golf team has completed its fall season and will not compete again until Feb. 8-9 at the Matador Invitational, hosted by CSU Northridge in Simi Valley, Calif. The Redhawks will play in one more tournament close to home, as the 2016 Western Athletic Conference Women’s Golf Championships will take place at the Semiahmoo Golf and Country Club in Blaine, Wash., April 22-24.
