Isabella Geronimo (San Mateo, Calif.) represents Seattle University on the First Team while Paige Bouska (Keizer, Ore.) and Bubba Morrow (Auburn, Wash.) were named to the Second Team.
Geronimo recorded a .348 average in WAC play, starting all 14 league contests, also adding eight runs on 16 hits, both team highs, as well as two doubles, two home runs, and a team-high 10 RBI. The honor marks Geronimo’s third straight First Team All-Conference honor in as many opportunities. Earlier this season, she was also named Preseason All-WAC by both the league and College Sports Madness.
Bouska brought consistency to the Redhawk lineup, recording a 15-game hitting streak spanning from Mar. 21 vs. Loyola Marymount to Apr. 17 vs. Kansas City. As a sophomore, Bouska finished second at the plate for Seattle U in WAC play, batting .375 with five runs on 15 hits, one double, one triple, and two RBI.
Morrow receives her third straight All-Conference honor, also named to the WAC First Team in 2013 and 2014. Earlier this season (Game two, Apr. 1 vs. Portland State), she became Seattle U’s all-time career leader in doubles (37 as of May 6). She also currently sits in second place in SU’s career home runs (31) and career RBI (127).
The No. 4 seed Redhawks open WAC tournament play on Thursday, May 7 at 11 a.m. MT/10 a.m. PT vs. No. 5 Utah Valley, with the winner advancing to face No. 1 New Mexico State at 4 p.m. MT/3 p.m. PT. The loser moves to an elimination game vs. the loser of No. 2 UMKC/No. 3 Bakersfield at 6:30 p.m. MT/5:30 p.m. PT.
