SU Travels to Utah Valley in Western Athletic Conference Play: After a five-game homestand last week, Seattle University softball hits the road to face Utah Valley for a key three-game conference series in Orem, Utah.

Time Change: Saturday's doubleheader has been moved up two hours from the originally scheduled time, now at 10 am MT/9 am PT. Game two will be featured on the WAC Digital Network while Friday's game and game one will be streamed through Utah Valley's website (all links on softball schedule page at GoSeattleU.com).
Up Next and Looking Ahead: After this week, SU will have four more home games, hosting Washington on Apr. 15 and Bakersfield (Apr. 24-25) on senior weekend. After hosting just three home games over the opening two months of the season, SU is scheduled to host a total of nine in April (already through five as of Apr. 8). After hosting five games last week, the Redhawks will now be on the road for six of their next seven before returning home to host Bakersfield on the final weekend of the regular season.
The Redhawks will also take one more conference road trip to Kansas City (Apr. 17-18). All five eligible teams will advance to the WAC Tournament in May.

Bubba Morrow Clinches Seattle U Career Doubles Record: Morrow earned the top spot in Seattle U’s all-time career doubles records (33 as of Apr. 8) with a two-base hit in the third inning of the second game versus Portland State on Apr. 1, surpassing Allegra Wilde’s previous record (32).
Climbing the Ladder: Lisa Maulden (32) and Jenny Hurst (29) are also closing in on top spots in SU’s all-time career doubles while Morrow currently sits in second place (30) in SU career home runs (record: 37, Jane Purdy, 2005-08) and second place (117) in career RBI (record: 162, Jane Purdy). Maulden currently ranks third in career RBI (97).

Scouting Utah Valley (14-27, 2-4 WAC): The Wolverines snapped a five-game losing skid at the end of March (two to No. 2 Oregon, three to New Mexico State to open WAC play) with a series win over Bakersfield to open April. Most recently, UVU dropped a mid-week game to BYU (Apr. 7), 9-2, before hosting the Redhawks. Brianna Gatlin leads the team at the plate (.378) with 22 runs, 37 hits, seven doubles, and seven home runs. Kellee Ramsey has a team-low 3.50 ERA and, among starters, Bailey Moore owns a 4.65 ERA (9-15, 8 complete games, 92 strikeouts).
