Seattle U Faces Oregon in Final Non-Conference Road Trip: After wrapping a seven-game homestand taking place between Thanksgiving and Christmas, Seattle University women’s basketball heads to Eugene, Ore. to take on the Oregon Ducks in their non-conference road finale. The Redhawks return home for a New Years Eve contest vs. UC Santa Barbara to kick off a four-game homestand leading into the beginning of Western Athletic Conference play on Saturday, Jan. 10. With a record-high 20 home games this season, SU is through half of their 2014-15 home schedule, completing 10 of 20 (including exhibitions) prior to the Christmas holiday. The game versus Seattle U closes both a five-game homestand as well as non-conference play for Oregon, as they open Pac-12 play at USC and UCLA following the new year (Jan. 3 and 5). Three different Ducks average in double scoring figures, led by Jillian Alleyne who averages a double-double (18.1 ppg, 14.6 rpg). Lexi Bando (13.4 ppg) and Lexi Petersen (12.8 ppg) also average in double digits in scoring for Oregon. Last season, the Ducks and Redhawks faced in SU’s annual KeyArena game on Dec. 4, a shootout of epic proportions that Oregon ultimately won, 105-100, behind Chrishae Rowe’s school record 41 points.
