Seattle University softball hosted their annual alumni game on Saturday, Sept. 27 at Logan Field at Seattle University Park. The current team won the close seven-inning game, 4-3, but the alumni "gave us a run for our money and played very well," assistant coach Brandi Gordon remarked.
Following the game, the team, alumni, family, and friends held a BBQ before gathering for an evening social at the Chieftain to cap off the day.
Twenty different alumni as well as two former coaches returned for the alumni game including Angelique Bredice Hunt ('01), Kim McDonald Gonzalez ('02), Sarah Carrier Brown ('04), Jennifer Hewitt Calvery ('04), Annette Gaeth ('04), Liz Meyer ('05), Mar Santos ('06), Amanda Nilles ('07), Kelly Merrick ('07), Megan MacIsaac ('09), Lisa Hill ('09), Heather Hansen Harding ('09), Katie Antich Favilla ('10), Katey "Petey" Petersen ('10), Kate Zender ('11), Rogin Hardy ('13), Sarah Petosa ('14), Richelle Ashburn ('14), Brianna Guerrero ('14) and former coaches Terry Traverso and Sean Praven.
The Redhawks continue their fall schedule over the next two weekends in preparation for their spring 2015 competition season. The fall schedule is on the softball schedule page while the regular season spring schedule will be released later this fall.
