2008: Heather started 24 of the 31 games she appeared in, finishing the year with 15 hits, including four doubles, and six runs batted in. She went 3-for-4 with a run scored in the first game of a doubleheader against Saint Martin's on Feb. 10. On March 8 against Montana State Billings, she went 2-for-3 with a double, a run scored, and two runs batted in. Once again she was solid in the field, making only one error in 222 chances for a .995 fielding percentage.

2007: Heather started 42 of the 55 games she appeared in, batting .242 with 31 hits, including eight doubles and one home run, 20 runs batted in, and 13 walks. She came on strong late in the season, going 5-for-6 with a double, six runs scored, and six runs batted in during a doubleheader sweep at Northwest Nazarene on April 26. She also went 5-for-7 with two runs batted in during a doubleheader against Western Oregon on May 3. She helped Seattle University stay alive in the NCAA West Regional with a 3-for-5 performance against Sonoma State and a 2-for-3 performance against Humboldt State, earning a double in each game. She was named to the West Region All-Tournament Team and the Academic All-GNAC squad. Defensively, she made only three errors in 342 chances for a .991 fielding percentage.

2006: Heather played in 51 games, starting 49 of them, during her freshman season. She batted .285 with six doubles and 19 RBI. She picked up more than one hit in seven games, including a 3-for-3 performance at Saint Martin's on April 5. In a doubleheader sweep against Western Washington on February 25, she went 4-for-7 in the two games with three runs batted in. She went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored in Seattle's victory over Hawaii-Hilo in the NCAA Regionals. She played a solid first base, making only five errors in 377 chances for a .987 fielding percentage.

Eastlake HS: Heather Hansen joins the Redhawks after a three-year varsity career at Eastlake HS in Sammamish, Wash....was an honorable mention all-KingCo 4A shortstop two times with the Wolves...named the team's Rookie of the Year as a sophomore...earned the Coach's Award during her junior year...played for the KingCo district and tournament champions as a sophomore and junior...team placed second in the state in 2004...was also team academic state champions in 2003...also played volleyball at Eastlake.
