“We’re excited to promote Brandi to a full time position with our team,” said Powers. “She brings passion as well as a lot of enthusiasm, experience, and excitement.”
In her first stint at Seattle U, Gordon worked with the team’s slap hitters, coached outfield defense, and directed the Redhawks’ conditioning program as the team won its first ever Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC) title and advanced to the NCAA Division II tournament.
Prior to SU, she served as a coaching assistant for the Harvard University softball team. In five years with the Crimson, they claimed two Ivy League Championships and three Ivy North Division titles.
No stranger to the Pacific Northwest, Gordon also previously served as the Director of Softball Operations for the University of Washington (2007) and is a Redmond, Wash. native. She was a four-year letterwinner at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, Calif. (2002-2005).
The Redhawks look forward to their third season in the Western Athletic Conference in 2015 after playing host to the 2014 version of the league softball tournament.
