Seattle University men’s tennis’ Kevin Lynch (Colorado Springs, Colo.) has been named the Western Athletic Conference Male Tennis Player of the Week for the week of Apr. 7-13. This is Lynch’s second career honor, also named for the week of Mar. 3-9, 2014.

Kevin Lynch’s leadership and dedication has turned the team around and really made it a team,” said head coach Mark Frisby. “He should be really proud of what he’s accomplished.”

Lynch earned two victories at No. 1 singles last week, defeating Pacific Lutheran’s Sam Stadter on Senior Day (Apr. 8) before topping Portland State’s Brent Wheeler on Apr. 11. He also earned a pair of victories at No. 1 doubles with fellow senior, Jason Bediones (Kent, Wash.). Lynch and Bediones earned the team’s lone doubles win of the match against Portland State.
