Seattle University women’s tennis (3-9) surrendered the doubles point and could not recover enough ground to earn the win as they fell, 6-1, to Utah State in their first of three straight home matches.

The Aggies swept all three doubles matches, with Kelli Woodman (Denver, Colo.) and Barbara Carey (Seattle, Wash.) coming closest to a victory at No. 2 doubles but falling, 8-5.

Sarah Lucas (Las Vegas, Nev.) earned a win at No. 5 singles, but Utah State would sweep the other five singles matches with straight set victories to earn the 6-1 win.

The Redhawks host Gonzaga on Sunday, Feb. 23 at 10 a.m. at Sand Point after defeating the Bulldogs, 4-3, in Spokane on Feb. 7.
