The Seattle University women’s tennis team completed their third and final day of the Jack Taylor Classic hosted by Boise State, their first tournament of the 2013-14 season.

In the White Flight’s First Round Loss Consolation Bracket, Kristen James (Lubbock, Texas) fell to Weber State’s Lauren Schulte in the final game of the bracket, 6-4, 6-4.

In the White Flight Doubles bracket, James and Corinne Wurden (Poulsbo, Wash.) defeated fellow Redhawks, Sarah Lucas (Las Vegas, Nev.) and Jacqueline Jacques (Modesto, Calif.), 8-4.

Additionally, several singles matches were added for individuals who were eliminated on Friday. Jacques defeated Weber State’s Carly Lloyd, 6-3, 6-2. Weber State’s Ashley Tanner also defeated Anna Lambert (Spokane, Wash.), 7-5, 6-4 (11-9) and Montana State’s Laura Middel defeated Gabriella Weissman (Simi Valley, Calif.), 6-4, 6-2.

Seattle U returns to the Palouse over the next two weekends, at the Cougar Invitational (Sept. 27-29) and Cougar Doubles Classic (Oct. 4-6), both hosted by Washington State University.
