Two more school records were broken by Seattle University throwers as members of the Redhawk track and field team competed in the UW Open Sunday at the Dempsey Indoor facility.

Bethany Richards (Shoreline, Wash.) improved on her own school record in the women's weight throw, posting a top effort of 15.04 meters (49' 4.25") to finish fifth in her flight and 17th overall in the event. Amanda Luna (Beavercreek, Ore.) finished 10th in the flight with a best throw of 13.76 meters (45' 1.75").

Bo Anderson (Tacoma, Wash.) broke his own school record in the men's shot put with a throw of 14.27 meters (46' 10"), finishing sixth in his flight and 13th overall in the event. Anderson also competed in the men's weight throw, posting a mark of 12.66 meters (41' 6.5") to finish ninth in his flight. Devon Walker (Ventura, Calif.) participated in both events as well, finishing with throws of 12.84 meters (42' 1.5") in the shot put and 11.50 meters (37' 8.75") in the weight throw.

Nick Bever (Seattle, Wash.) finished second in his section and 12th overall in the triple jump with a top effort of 12.84 meters (42' 1.5"). On the track, Kaytie Bateman (Chehalis, Wash.) won her heat of the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 9.64 seconds, as did Rosalyn DiLillo (Santa Rosa, Calif.) in the 600 meter run with a time of 1:47.37.

The Seattle University track and field team will take the next two weeks to prepare for the Western Athletic Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships in Albuquerque, N.M., Feb. 21-23.
