Seattle University women’s rowing made a strong showing at their second regatta as a NCAA Division I varsity program at Head of the Lake in Seattle, Wash.
In the sixth race of the day, the Women’s Collegiate 3V 8+, coxed by Jolie Kawasaki, finished sixth of eight with a time of 21:46.203. Washington State University finished first with a time of 18:51.156 in the race. The Seattle U 3V 8+ came in ahead of the Washington State men’s rowing team and the Portland State University crew.
The Redhawks had two boats in the Women’s Collegiate 4+, which came in fifth and seventh out of ten. Kaaren Harvey coxed the fifth place boat.
This is the end of fall competition for Seattle U and they will next compete on March 30, 2013 at the Husky Open on the Montlake Cut in Seattle, Wash.
