The Seattle University track and field team wrapped up the 2012 outdoor regular season with one school record and several personal bests at the Western Washington University Twilite Meet, held Friday evening at Civic Stadium.

Bethany Richards (Shoreline, Wash.) once again improved on her own school record in the hammer throw, finishing third in the event with a toss of 46.88 meters (153' 10"), over two meters further than the standard she set just last week at the Duane Hartman Invitational. Richards also finished fifth in the shot put with a top effort of 11.42 meters (37' 5.75").

Also in the women's hammer throw, Renate Wescott (Puyallup, Wash.) and Amanda Luna (Beavercreek, Ore.) posted personal bests, with Wescott finishing seventh with a throw of 39.24 meters (128' 9") and Luna finishing eighth after a toss of 37.65 meters (123' 6"). Wescott also competed in the javelin throw, finishing 13th in the event with a top effort of 34.88 meters (114' 5").

Evadine Codd (Spokane, Wash.) won her heat of the 400 meter dash and finished seventh overall with a time of 62.99 seconds, while Rosalyn DiLillo (Santa Rosa, Calif.) posted a personal-best time of 2:30.25 in the 800 meter run. In the women's 1500 meter run, Sophie Curatilo (Honolulu, Hawaii) finished fourth with a time of 4:46.94, while Haley Kruell (Portland, Ore.) posted a personal-best time of 5:24.55. Valerie Wu (Laguna Niguel, Calif.) earned a personal best mark in the long jump, finishing 10th in the event with a top leap of 4.92 meters (16' 1.75").

For the men, Eric Patterson-Floyd (Seattle, Wash.) won his heat and finished eighth overall in the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.25 seconds. Miles Hille (Woodinville, Wash.) finished sixth in the one mile run with a personal best time of 4:24.89, with Ryan Dennison (Pacifica, Calif.) also earning a personal best time in the event with a 10th place finish in 4:28.40.

Baxter Arguinchona (Spokane, Wash.) finished second in the men's 3000 meter run with a personal best time of 8:49.21, with Kevin Kopetz (Derry, N.H.) crossing the finish line in sixth place in 9:22.14. David Strand (Seattle, Wash.) earned a personal best in the men's 5000 meter run, finishing eighth in the event with a time of 16:01.92.

The Seattle University track and field team will head to Humble, Texas, for the 2012 Great West Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships next Thursday through Saturday, May 10-12.
