In a quadrangular meet hosted by the University of Denver Saturday at the El Pomar Natatorium, the Seattle University women's swim team lost to the host Pioneers, 185-37, as well as to Utah, 153-68, and to Northern Arizona, 171-65.
Alexis Morehouse (Vancouver, Wash.) produced the best individual performance for the Redhawk women, finishing second in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:22.04. Hanna Basler (El Cajon, Calif.) also enjoyed a strong meet, finishing fourth in the 50 freestyle in 24.78 seconds and seventh in the 100 freestyle with a time of 54.19 seconds.
The quartet of Tina Nguyen (Hillsboro, Ore.), Kevlyn Richards (Gig Harbor, Wash.), Tessa Franke (Santa Monica, Calif.), and Basler finished fifth in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:50.79. In the 400 freestyle relay, the team of Melissa Randolf (Everett, Wash.), Nicole Doi (Pleasanton, Calif.), Franke, and Ellyn Rivers (Elgin, Texas) also finished fifth in a time of 3:43.11.
The Seattle University women's swim team will host Boise State next Saturday, Nov. 19, beginning at 10 a.m. at the Connolly Center Pool.
