2011-12: At Boise State (Oct. 14-15), anchored 400 yard freestyle relay with a split of 56.39 (relay time of 3:50.61) ... swam third leg in 400 medley relay that took fifth with a split of 1:00.88 ... swam 100 butterfly in 1:01.50.

On Oct. 22, in a home meet, Franke swam on the fourth-place 200 Medley Relay team that finished with a time of 1:50.56 ... finished eleventh in the 100 Backstroke (1:08.17) ... swam in the 100 Butterfly, finishing eighth (1:01.18) ... swam in the third place 400 Freestyle Relay team (3:40.57).

At Oregon State University on October 29, placed fourth in the 400 Medley Relay (relay time of 4:04.78)... swam the 100 yard Freestyle in 56.29... placed fifth in the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 1:01.72...took fourth in the 200 yard Freestyle Relay (relay time of 1:44.41).

In a weekend meet at the Univ. of Pacific on November 4, Franke swam the 200 Medley Relay with a relay time of 1:52.10...competed in the 100 Freestyle, finishing with a time of 57.12...placed fourth in the 200 Freestyle Relay with a relay time of 1:43.18...On Nov. 5, she took second in the 400 Medley Relay with a relay time of 4:00.07...placed sixth in the 100 Freestyle with a time of 56.17...took fourth in the 100 Butterfly with a time of 1:01.14...placed fourth in the 400 Freestyle Relay with a relay time of 3:53.01.

At the University of Denver on November 12, Franke was on the fifth place team in the 200 Medley relay (relay time of 1:50.79) ... finished thirteenth in the 100 Freestyle in 56.42 ... was part of the fifth place team in the 400 Freestyle relay (relay time of 3:43.11).

In a home meet versus Boise State (Nov. 19), Franke took fifth in 50 yard free with a time of 26:07 ... fifth in the 100 fly with a time of 1:00.48 ... helped 200 medley relay team finish third by swimming third leg in 27.45 (team time of 1:51.73).

In dual meet versus Simon Fraser (Jan. 20), swam lead leg of third-place 200 yard freestyle relay in 25.76 (relay time 1:45.18) ... fourth in 50 yard freestyle with time of 26.07 ... swam third leg of second-place 200 medley relay in 26.72 (relay time 1:49.82).

In home meet versus Simon Fraser and Washington State (Jan. 21), swam lead leg of winning 400 yard freestyle relay in 56.48 (relay time 3:41.04) ...  swam third leg of 400 medley relay in 1:01.34 (relay time 4:07.24) ... took fifth in 100 fly with time of 1:01.16.

At Nevada Jan. 28, swam anchor leg for second-place 400 yard freestyle relay team in 55.82 (relay time 3:43.35) ... swam anchor leg for third-place 200 medley relay team in 25.47 (relay time 1:53.30) ... swam 50 free in 25.82.

At MPSF Championships Feb. 15-18, helped 200 yard medley relay take eighth by swimming third leg in 26.51 (relay time 1:47.30).

High School: Franke was a four year letterwinner for Santa Monica High School.  She was named team MVP all four years at school, and was team captain her last three years.  She also participated in CIF Division Four Championships and the CIF-Masters Meet all four years.  In addition, she won the Norm lacey Award for best female athlete.  During her four year career, she scored more points than any other swimmer, male or female, in school history.  She was also a member of the National Honor Society, Students For a Free Tibet, Jacaranda Club, and an academic tutor.  

Club Experience: She swam for Team Santa Monica from 2003 to 2010 and Swim Torrance in 2011.  She made sectionals from 2007-2011.

Personal: Full name is Tessa Philbrick Franke.  Her parents are Megan and Todd Franke, and she has a younger brother named Joshua.  Her dad played soccer for the University of Wisconson at Madison and her uncle Matt rowed at UW-Madison.  Franke is majoring in nursing and would like to be a nurse following graduation.  Her hobbies include traveling, reading, hiking, and baking.
