This Week for the Redhawks: The Seattle University women's soccer team (12-6) will conclude the 2011 regular season on Saturday, Nov. 5, at Loyola Marymount (7-10-2 overall, 1-6-1 WCC). The Redhawks will square off with the Lions in a 1 p.m. match in Los Angeles, Calif.

Last Time Out: The Redhawks are coming off their most dominate all-around victory of the season, a 5-0 rout over Eastern Washington on Oct. 30.

Two days prior, SU outlasted Montana, 2-1, behind Taylor Bolibol's overtime strike.

End of the Road: The Redhawks conclude the 2011 campaign this weekend with a solo contest at LMU.

Five-Goal Dominance: The Redhawks put together their strongest offensive output of the year at EWU on Oct. 30, scoring a season-high five goals.

Ames and Verdoia Connect Twice: At Eastern Washington on Oct. 30, Ava Ames and Stephanie Verdoia connected twice for a pair of goals. Verdoia dished both assists to Ames for her first career multi-assist game.

Undefeated in Overtime: Taylor Bolibol's first goal of the season helped keep the Redhawks undefeated when playing in overtime. Bolibol guided SU to a 2-1 overtime victory over Montana on Oct. 28. It was the Redhawks first extra period contest since their season opener at Sacramento State on Aug. 19, where they defeated the Hornets 2-1.

Fannin and Escalera Net First Goals of the Season: Senior Taylor Fannin scored her first goal of the season at Eastern Washington on Oct. 30. She followed through on a bouncing deflection in the box to send in the 42nd minute goal.

Monique Escalera capped off the game with an 80th minute strike, after beating multiple defenders in a standout individual effort for her first strike of the season, as well.

Versus the WCC: Saturday's match will mark SU's fourth WCC opponent in 2011. The Redhawks are 2-1 versus WCC squads, defeating then-No. 8 Portland and San Francisco, before falling to Gonzaga.

Thanks for the Memories!: Saturday's match will mark the final career game for the graduating senior class: Taylor Fannin, Madison Goverde, Lauren Munechika, Kassandra Riozzi, Jordan Salisbury and Brynn Watanabe.

It's a Winning Season: The Redhawks earned their 12th win of the season at EWU on Oct. 30, marking their 14th winning season over head coach Julie Woodward's 15-season tenure. 

The Numbers: This season the Redhawks have played the majority of their matches outside Seattle. On the year, SU is 9-4 away from home and 3-2 at Championship Field.

Second Half Surge: This season Seattle U is outscoring opponents 16-9 in the second half.

On the year, the Redhawks are outscoring opponents 29-17.

Goverde Makes the Save: Co-captain Madison Goverde earned her sixth shutout of the season on Oct. 30, in SU's 5-0 shutout over Eastern Washington. She tallied three saves in the match to bring her season total to 62 and her goals against average to 0.94.

The Connection: Senior Jordan Salisbury and sophomore Mary Hill have proved to have an undeniable connection this season. The duo has connected on four SU goals this season, with Hill feeding all four assists to Salisbury, including a recent game-winner versus Hawaii on Oct. 9.

The Woodward Tally: Head coach Julie Woodward reached the 200-win milestone on Sept. 18, in SU's 3-1 victory over San Diego State. She is the No. 5 winningest coach in SU history in a single sport and the winningest women's soccer coach in program history.

The Captains: Senior goalkeeper Madison Goverde and senior defender Renee Vandermause will captain the 2011 Redhawk squad.

Final Year of Independence: 2011 will mark SU's final season playing as an NCAA DI Independent. On July 1, 2012 Seattle U will officially join the Western Athletic Conference as full members.

UNLV NIKE Invite Champs: The only team to go 2-0 at the UNLV NIKE Invitational, the Redhawks earned their first tournament title of the season. They defeated host-UNLV and San Diego State.

One For the Books!: SU's 2-0 shutout victory over then-No. 8 Portland was the biggest win in Redhawk women's soccer program history. It also marked the highest ranked opponent an SU team has defeated since reclassifying back to Division I.

Scouting Loyola Marymount: The Lions of Loyola Marymount (7-10-2 overall, 1-6-1 WCC) enter this weekend's match riding a five-game losing streak. Last weekend, they fell 1-0 to Portland on Oct. 28, before dropping a 4-0 decision to Santa Clara on Oct. 30.

LMU's offensive efforts are led by Tawni Martino, who's scored four goals and tallied a pair of assists in 19 starts. Linda Bakker is the team's assist leader, with four in 19 starts.

Defensively, Brittany Jagger has started all 19 games in goal. She's tallied a 1.34 goals against average, 91 saves and five shutouts.

The Last Time Seattle U Faced Loyola Marymount: The Redhawks are 1-0 all-time versus the Lions. SU defeated LMU 2-0 in their last meeting in Los Angeles, Calif. on Sept. 7, 1993.
