This Week for the Redhawks: The Seattle University women's soccer team (8-5) will look to get back on track this weekend, as they host Hawaii (4-8-2, 0-2 WAC) on Sunday, Oct. 9. The match will mark SU's annual Kicks for Breast Cancer game, benefitting the Susan G. Komen Foundation of Puget Sound.
Last Time Out: For the second time this season, the Redhawks dropped consecutive matches. They were shutout by Gonzaga, 2-0, on Sept. 30, marking their first loss at home this year. Two days later, they were unable to make the most of their 27-7 shot advantage versus Boise State, falling by an identical score, 2-0.

On Deck: The Redhawks hit the road for a pair of matches, beginning in Bakersfield, Calif. Seattle U will face the CSUB Roadrunners on Friday, Oct. 14 in a 5 p.m. contest.
Kicks for Breast Cancer: The Redhawks will host their annual Kicks for Breast Cancer match this weekend. Proceeds from the game, including $2 from every ticket and merchandise purchases, will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation of Puget Sound.
One More: Following this weekend's match versus UH, the Redhawks will only have one remaining home contest in 2011. They will play their next two matches on the road, before hosting Montana on Friday, Oct. 28.
Back on Track: After suffering a two-game setback, the Redhawks look to get back to their winning ways versus Hawaii this weekend.
The Numbers: The Redhawks are 7-3 when playing on the road and 1-2 at home this season.
The Woodward Tally: Head coach Julie Woodward reached the 200-win milestone on Sept. 18, in SU's 3-1 victory over San Diego State. She is the No. 5 winningest coach in SU history in a single sport and the winningest women's soccer coach in program history.
The Captains: Senior goalkeeper Madison Goverde and senior defender Renee Vandermause will captain the 2011 Redhawk squad.
Final Year of Independence: 2011 will mark SU's final season playing as an NCAA DI Independent. On July 1, 2012 Seattle U will officially join the Western Athletic Conference as full members.
UNLV NIKE Invite Champs: The only team to go 2-0 at the UNLV NIKE Invitational, the Redhawks earned their first tournament title of the season. They defeated host-UNLV and San Diego State.
One For the Books!: SU's 2-0 shutout victory over then-No. 8 Portland was the biggest win in Redhawk women's soccer program history. It also marked the highest win an SU team has earned since reclassifying back to Division I.
Scouting Hawaii: The Rainbow Wahine of Hawaii (3-8, 2-0 WAC) travel to the mainland after putting together a pair of victories at home in their WAC weekend opener. They outlasted Utah State on Sept. 30, with a 2-1 double overtime win, and two days later they downed Nevada, 5-0.
Brittani Lum headlines the UH offense, with five goals and an assist in 11 games. While, Rachel Domingo is the squad's assist leader, with five.
In goal, Kanani Taaca has played all 1005 minutes. She's tallied a 2.15 goals against average, 49 saves and a shutout on the year. She's also allowed 24 goals against in 11 games played.
The Last Time Seattle U Faced Hawaii: This will be the first-ever meeting between the Redhawks and Hawaii.
