Thanks to one of the best rounds of the day from senior Chris Holway (Longview, Wash.), the Seattle University men's golf team remained in sixth place after the second round of the 2011 America Sky Men's Golf Conference Championships Tuesday at the Troon North Golf Club.

Holway shot one-over-par 72, the third-best score for the day among all 60 golfers, to move up into a tie for 10th place with a 36-hole total of 150 (+8). Paul Pavlos (Woodinville, Wash.) remains in a tie for 16th place after shooting 77 (+6) in the second round for a two-day total of 153 (+11).

Ian Dahl (Longview, Wash.) also shot 77 in the second round and is now tied for 22nd place with a cumulative score of 155 (+13). Rob Seibly (Spokane, Wash.) struggled in his second circuit of the course, posting a score of 82 (+11) to drop into a tie for 33rd place with a 36-hole total of 157 (+15). Jordan Beals (Enumclaw, Wash.) is in 56th place after 36 holes of competition after a second-round 89 (+18) gave him a two-day total of 177 (+35).

As a team, Seattle University shot 308 (+24) in the second round for a two-round total of 615 (+47), just one stroke behind fifth-place Utah Valley but only one stroke ahead of seventh-place Hartford. Sacramento State's lead in the team standings was cut to one stroke by Weber State, while Northern Colorado's Nick Bisogno shot a second round-best 70 to move into the lead in the individual standings by one stroke over Hartford's D.J. Lantz.

The 2011 America Sky Men's Golf Conference Championships will conclude with the third and final round Wednesday, May 4.
