Zachary Williams (Spokane, Wash.) picked up Seattle U's only point of the match, defeating Justin Romero in the number six singles position in a super-tiebreaker (7-6, 3-6, 10-8). In the number two singles position, Simon Meske (Tacoma, Wash.) won the first set, but Yair Banuelos came from behind for the victory, also in a super-tiebreaker (4-6, 7-5, 10-5).
Meske and Jason Bediones (Kent, Wash.) won their doubles set in the number two spot, going to a tiebreaker before defeating Banuelos and Francisco Damasio, 8-7 (7-5). However, Western New Mexico won the doubles sets in the number one and number three positions to pick up the doubles point.
Seattle University (3-13) will face Idaho State twice at the Darling Tennis Center Friday, March 25, once at 8 a.m. and then again at 1 p.m.
