At the number two doubles position, Katrina Schwab (Spokane, Wash.) and Corinne Wurden (Poulsbo, Wash.) combined to defeat Samantha Teigen and Miranda Duggan, 8-2. The freshman duo of Gabriella Weissmann (Simi Valley, Calif.) and Sarah Lucas (Las Vegas, Nev.) helped the Redhawks clinch the doubles point with an 8-4 victory over Barb Sneckner and Chelsea Gay at the number three doubles position.
Schwab picked up a key victory in number two singles, defeating Dorothy Chong in three sets (6-1, 2-6, 6-1), while Lucas earned a straight-set victory over Ciara Schultz in number three singles (6-1, 6-0). Weissmann was also a double-winner with a straight-set win over Sneckner in number four singles (6-0, 6-4), and Anna Lambert (Spokane, Wash.) cruised past Teigen in the number five singles spot (6-1, 6-0).
Seattle University (2-10) remains in Lewiston for a neutral-site match against Montana Saturday morning beginning at 9 a.m. before heading to the Spokane Club for a contest against Gonzaga later Saturday at 6 p.m.
