Last Time Out: After battling back to take the lead in the second half, the Redhawks (7-18) let their final home game of the 2010-11 season slip past them. SU fell 77-71 to Cal State Bakersfield. Elle Kerfoot led with 18 points, while Tatiana Heck had a season-high 11 rebounds.
On Deck: Seattle U will conclude the 2010-11 campaign at the Florida Gulf Coast Tournament from Mar. 4-6. SU will take on Florida Gulf Coast (Mar. 4), Southern Illinois Edwardsville (Mar. 5) and Longwood (Mar. 6) at the three-day tournament.

Ending Things on the Road: The Redhawks will hit the road for their final leg of the 2010-11 season, kicking off their final road swing in California. SU will head to UC Davis on Friday, Feb. 18, for a 7 p.m. game with the Aggies. Two days later, Seattle U will square off with UC Santa Barbara in a 2 p.m. matchup. They will then travel to Florida for a three-game tournament.
Staying in the Top-10: Daidra Brown maintains her stance in the national rankings this week, as she is t-9 in steals per game. The Seattle native is averaging 3.24 spg in 25 games played. She has 81 steals this season and is on pace break the all-time single steals record at Seattle U. Currently Jackie Thomas holds the record with 3.1 spg during the 2007-08 season.
Christianson Named Featured Student-Athlete of the Week: Senior Julee Christianson was selected GoSeattleU.com's Featured Student-Athlete of the Week for her performance both on the court and in the classroom. She has seen action in 21 games this season and has been a fixture in the starting lineup over the last seven games. She also boasts a 3.64 cumulative grade point average.
Nine and Counting: Elle Kerfoot has been a relentless offensive force for the Redhawks this season. The junior point guard has found her offensive rhythm on the floor and is currently averaging 12.7 ppg, behind nine consecutive double figure scoring outings. This past weekend she tallied 18 points to lead the Redhawk offense versus Cal State Bakersfield (Feb. 12).
Dickerson Continues to Make Senior Season Count: In only one active playing season at Seattle U, senior Salena Dickerson has made her mark. She has started in all 25 games this season, while averaging a team-leading 6.0 rpg and a second-best 11.2 ppg.
Heck Has Solid Senior Night Outing: Senior Tatiana Heck had a standout defensive performance on Senior Night on Feb. 12, versus Cal State Bakersfield. She tallied a season-best 11 rebounds to lead the Redhawks in the game. She also had seven points and an assist in 32 minutes of work.
Ward Stays in Starting Five: Freshman Ashley Ward is currently coming off her third consecutive start. She has seen action in all 25 games this season, starting six of them.
In the Classroom: The Redhawks excelled in the classroom during the Fall Quarter. The team posted above a 3.0 cumulative grade point average.
Redhawks Add Midseason Transfer: Seattle U added sophomore point guard Nichole Jackson to the Redhawk hoops squad for the Winter 2011 quarter. Due to NCAA transfer rule she will have to sit out for a year and will be eligible to begin action with SU in the Winter of 2012.
Some Coaching History: Head coach Joan Bonvicini enters Saturday's action behind 625 career victories. She is in the top-20 in all-time wins among both active DI coaches and all-time DI history.
Kerfoot Named to All-Tournament Team: Co-captain and point guard Elle Kerfoot was the selected to the Seattle U Thanksgiving All-Tournament Team on Nov. 27, following her 30 point performance and helping guide SU to the championship game.
Seattle U Inks Three for 2011-12: Monique Abbs (Phoenix, Ariz.), Renee Dillard-Brown (Seattle, Wash.) and Kim Flournoy (San Diego, Calif.) will join the Seattle U women's team next season. This is the second recruiting class head coach Joan Bonvicini has signed since joining SU for the 2009-10 season.
The Captains: Junior point guard Elle Kerfoot and senior post Tatiana Heck will serve as captains for the Redhawks is 2010-11.
Scouting UC Davis: UC Davis is currently 17-7 overall, 7-5 Big West. The Aggies are coming off two consecutive losses. On Feb. 9, UCD fell to Pacific, 65-60, and three days later the Aggies dropped a game to Long Beach State, 60-59.
The UC Davis offense is led by leading scorers Paige Mintun and Vicky Deely, who both are averaging 13.8 ppg. Senior forward Mintun is also team's rebounding leader, with 5.8 rpg.
The Last Time Seattle U Faced UC Davis: Seattle U is currently 1-1 all time against UC Davis. The Redhawks last faced the Aggies in their season opener on Nov. 13, 2010. SU fell 71-49 to UCD.
Scouting UC Santa Barbara: UC Santa Barbara (14-10 overall, 8-4 Big West) is coming off two conference wins. The Gauchos beat UC Irvine, 70-56, on Feb. 10, and defeated UC Riverside, 59-37, on Feb. 12.
UCSB is led by a pair of upperclassmen in Emilie Johnson and Mekia Valentine. Johnson is averaging 12.9 points and 3.5 rebounds per game. Valentine is averaging a double-double with 10.7 points and 10.2 rebounds per contest.
The Last Time Seattle U Faced UC Santa Barbara: This will be the first time in program history that the Redhawks will face the Gauchos.
