The Seattle University men's tennis team lost to the University of Idaho, 7-0, late Saturday night in a neutral-site match.
Seattle U's best chance at a singles victory came in the number four singles position, as Simon Meske (Tacoma, Wash.) forced his match to a super tiebreaker, but Idaho's Alan Shin won the tiebreaker for the match win (6-4, 4-6, 10-7). The Vandals improved their record to 6-1 by sweeping the doubles sets for the first point, followed by five straight-set victories in singles competition.
Seattle University (1-3) heads back to Portland next weekend for matches against the University of Portland (Feb. 11) and Portland State (Feb. 12) before a trip to Eugene, Ore., to face the Oregon Ducks Feb. 13.
