The Redhawk swimmers rounded out their weekend in Utah with another dual meet, this time against Brigham Young University Saturday afternoon. The men lost 195-96, and the women were also defeated 213-79.

Jordan Anderson (Newberg, Ore.) won the 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle in 20.78 and 45.92, respectively. He was followed in the 50 free by Jeff Tibbals (Moscow, Idaho), who placed second with a time of 21.52. Nicolas Morrell won the 500 freestyle in 4:45.34 and placed second in the 100 backstroke in 52.34, and Murray Longbotham (Mercer Island, Wash.) came behind Morrell in the 500 free with a time of 4:46.91. Tomas Mendez-Beck (Hillsboro, Ore.) won the 200 butterfly with a time of 1:56.41.

The men placed first and second in the 400 freestyle relay. Anderson, Tibbals, Longbotham, and Morrell made up the first-place team with a time of 3:06.00, and Mendez-Beck, Keith Andrews (Hillsboro, Ore.), Tyler Carriker (Everett, Wash.), and Chris Lynch (Melbourne, Australia) came in second in 3:14.82.

On the women’s side, Hayley Cobb (Irvine, Calif.) took first in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:55.57. Alexis Morehouse (Vancouver, Wash.) won the 100 breaststroke in 1:05.81 and placed second in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:21.55.

The women also took first and second in the 400 freestyle relay. Kelsey Henan (Billings, Mont.), Briley Boggs (Federal Way, Wash.), Tina Nguyen (Hillsboro, Ore.), and Cobb took first in 3:40.76, and Hanna Basler (El Cajon, Calif.), Kevlyn Richards (Gig Harbor, Wash.), Nicole Doi (Pleasanton, Calif.), and Marina Pomar-Enders (Mill Creek, Wash.) finished behind them in 3:46.36.

Seattle U will take a break before preparing for a women’s meet at Boise State on Jan. 14-15 and a men’s meet against Whitworth University at the Connolly Center on Jan. 28.
