This Week for the Redhawks: The Seattle University women's soccer team will look to bounce back into the win column with Cleveland State (4-2-2) this Sunday, Sept. 19, in a 12 noon matchup at Championship Field. This is the first time since beginning the season that the Redhawks will only play one contest during the week.

Last Time Out: The Redhawks, who had been ranked No. 9 in the west region by the NSCAA for the first time last week, suffered a pair of setbacks in Idaho this past weekend. The team fell 2-1 to Idaho State on Sept. 9, and was shutout 2-0 on Sept. 12, by Boise State. Seattle U's offense struggled to see the back of the net during their weekend of road action. With the losses, SU snapped a four game win streak.

What Woodward Says: "We had a tough weekend on the road. We are excited that we were able to have a full week of practice in preparation for Sunday's game versus Cleveland State and are glad to be playing back home," said head coach Julie Woodward.

Salisbury Sees Net: Junior central defender Jordan Salisbury was the lone Redhawk to see the back of the net this past week for Seattle U. She scored the equalizing goal in the 63rd minute off a Heather Thomas assist at Idaho State on Sept. 9. It was her first goal of the year.

Looking to Get Back on Track at Home: The Redhawks will look to get back on track this weekend versus Cleveland State after falling in both contests this past week. After winning four straight, the Redhawks will look to bounce back after a pair of setbacks.

Newbie's Fitting Right In: With 10 new players taking the field this season, head coach Julie Woodward has had a lot of options and depth in the lineup this year. Eight freshmen, a redshirt freshman and a sophomore transfer make up the fresh faces in the lineup.

Scouting Cleveland State: The Vikings of Cleveland State will make their first Pacific Northwest trip of the season to square off with the Redhawks. Prior to heading to Championship Field, CSU (4-2-2) the Vikings will take on the Washington Huskies on Friday, Sept.17.

Cleveland State went 0-2-1 in their matches this past week, seeing a 2-0 shutout loss to Ohio State on Sept. 8, and a 2-1 edging by Bowling Green on Sept. 12. Sandwiched in the middle of their losses, they took Ohio to a 1-1 double overtime draw on Sept. 10. Both losses were on the road.

Natalie Daniels, a midfielder from nearby Olympia, leads the Viking's offense with six goals and a pair of assists for 14 points in eight consecutive starts. Junior Jessica Bound has tallied three assists, to lead the team in dishes on the year.

Defensively, CSU has posted a pair of shutout victories this season, with a 3-0 win over Gannon (8/27) and a 2-0 victory over Missouri-Kansas City (9/3). Between the pipes, senior goalkeeper Kelly Zinkiewich sports 47 saves and a 1.18 goals against average, while allowing 10 goals this season.
