One of the busiest SeattleU competitors was Kaytie Bateman (Chehalis, Wash.), who competed in two events during the day. She finished fourth in the long jump with a top effort of 4.76 meters (15' 7.5") and ninth in the javelin throw with a top toss of 24.98 meters (81'11").
Navotni Minter (Edmond, Okla.) was also entered in two events, finishing sixth in both the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 17.53 seconds and in the long jump with a top leap of 4.39 meters (14'5"). Kamala Squires (Ventura, Calif.) was the third Redhawk to compete in the long jump, finishing in ninth place after a jump of 4.10 meters (13'5.5").
Adam Kollgaard (Kent, Wash.) ran in two events, finishing seventh in the 1500 meter run in 4:13.31 and 12th in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:06.85. Daniel Sullivan (Tukwila, Wash.) finished seventh in the 800 meter run in 2:01.96, while Michael Van Nuland (Newcastle, Wash.) placed eighth in the 1500 meter run with a time of 4:14.25 and Ryan Dennison (Pacifica, Calif.) finished 11th after crossing the finish line with a time of 4:17.55.
Meeghan Bergmann (Portland, Ore.) finished fifth in the women's 200 meter dash with a time of 26.77 seconds, and Clare Monahan (Centennial, Colo.) posted a top throw of 28.46 meters (93'4") in the javelin to finish in seventh place. Robert Poshusta (Bremerton, Wash.) finished in 11th place in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 17.63 seconds.
The Seattle University track and field team will head to Eugene, Ore., for the Oregon Preview next Saturday, March 20, beginning at 12:30 p.m. at Hayward Field.
