A hole-in-one and a fifth place finish for the women’s golf team highlighted ’s participation in the Lewis-Clark State College Invitational, held Monday and Tuesday at the Clarkston Golf & Country Club.

The SeattleU women combined to post a score of 701 over the two-day, 36-hole event, good enough for fifth place. Dianne Alcantara (, ) led , finishing tied for fifth with a score of 166. Kelsey Johnson (, ) shot 172 to finish tied for 11th, while Caitlin McCleary () finished tied for 16th after shooting 174.

Michelle Grome (), who shot 189 over the two days, picked up a hole-in-one on the seventh hole by using a five-iron on the 132-yard par 3. Kaitlin Soto also competed for , shooting 233 over the 36-hole tournament.

On the men’s side, Justin Goar () was the best SeattleU player over the two days, following a first-round 77 with a 75 in the second round for a two-day total of 152, finishing in a tie for 12th place. Travis Michael (, ) and Kevin Ormiston () each shot 82-82 for a two-round score of 164, placing in a tie for 35th.

Alex Schultz () finished with a two-day score of 215, and Kyle Finnegan cut ten strokes off his first round score in the second round to finish at 222. As a team, finished in ninth place with a cumulative score of 693.

The golf team returns to action next Monday and Tuesday in the Concordia Invitational at the Tri-Mountain Golf Club in
