The Seattle University men’s tennis team used four hard fought victories in the one through four seeds to claim a 4-3 victory over Montana State Billings on Friday morning. Friday evening, Montana State was too much for the SeattleU squad, earning a 7-0 victory.
Against the Yellowjackets, Mark Shkretbtan (Redmond, Wash.) and Dylan Reetz (Rockwell, Texas) were both victorious in their singles and doubles matches to help lead Seattle to their second victory of the season. Shkrebtan set the pace with his victory over Franco Valdez in the number one singles (2-6, 6-4, 6-3). The Redhawks continued their strong effort with a win from Patrick Boorkman (Bellevue, Wash.) over Luis Olivera in straight sets (6-4, 6-4), while Reetz defeated Travis Lehman in a three-set thriller in the number three spot (2-6, 7-6 (7-2), 6-2).
Getting the final win in singles play for SeattleU was Adam Strizich (Helena, Mont.), whom defeated Brian LeSueur in straight sets (6-1, 7-5). Matt Enkema (Bellevue, Wash.) fell to Delbert Landicho in a tight match in the fifth position (6-4, 6-3), while Geoff Fehr defeated Matthew Gabriel (Ewa Beach, Hawaii) in straight sets (6-2, 6-4).
Seattle University started off the doubles match with a victory when Shkrebtan and Reetz defeated Olivera and Lehman in the number one doubles, 8-6. The Redhawks dropped their next two as Boorkman and Strizich were defeated by Landicho and Fehr, 8-6, and Enkema and Gabriel were defeated by Valdez and LeSueur, 8-1.

Seattle University (2-2) concludes its weekend in Montana by facing Lewis-Clark State in a neutral site match beginning at 9 a.m. Mountain Time.
