Mark Shkretbtan (, ), Patrick Boorkman (, ), and Adam Strizich (Helena, Mont.) each won both their singles and their doubles matches to lead the men’s tennis team to a 7-2 victory over Friday evening at the Tennis Dome.
In the number one singles position, Shkretbtan needed a third set to defeat Vincent Groot (6-4, 4-6, 6-2). He teamed with Dylan Reetz () in the number one doubles slot and defeated Groot and Peter Ray, 8-6. Reetz played in the number three singles position and lost to Ray (1-6, 7-5, 3-0 def.).
Boorkman was paired with Strizich in the number two doubles position and the SeattleU duo defeated William Parker and Matthias Kullowatz, 8-2. Boorkman then defeated Luke Wheeler in the number two singles slot in straight sets (6-2, 6-3). Strizich defeated Andrew Moller in straight sets in the number four singles slot (6-4, 6-0).
Enkema and William Tsang () defeated Andrew Davy and Quinn Roth-Carter in the number three doubles slot, 9-7. Playing in the number five singles position, Tsang was defeated by Parker in in the number five slot, 8-3. With the match already settled, the teams agreed to play one superset in the number six singles position, with Matthew Gabriel () defeating Kullowatz, 8-2.
(1-1) heads to , , in two weeks for matches against , State-, and . The following weekend, the team will play home matches against and Pacific University of Oregon.
