Seattle University Men's Tennis Falls to Eastern Washington

The Seattle University Men's Tennis team fell 7-0 to Eastern Washington on Saturday night at the Amy Yee Tennis Club.

The Seattle University Men’s Tennis Team dropped their first home match of the 2008-09 season to Eastern Washington, 7-0, Saturday night at the Amy Yee Tennis Club.

Mark Shkretbtan (Redmond, Wash.) fell to Easterns’ Kyle Schraeder (6-0, 6-2) in the number one match, while Alex Montgomery (Seattle, Wash.) had a hard fought loss to Nico Riego De Dios (6-1, 6-3) in the number two spot. Patrick Boorkman (Bellevue, Wash.) fell to Art Karas (6-0, 6-1) in the number three singles match.

In doubles action, Shkretbtan and Montgomery had a tough loss to Schraeder and Riego De Dios (8-3). Boorkman and Matt Enkema (Bellevue, Wash.) fell to Karas and Kenneth Norling (8-3), while Dylan Reetz (Rockwall, Texas) and Adam Strizich (Helena, Mont.) lost to Dan Pez and Chad Henninger (8-1) to round out doubles play.

Seattle University will return to action on February 13 in Portland, Ore. as they take on Lewis & Clark College.
