The Seattle University men's golf team got off to a solid start Tuesday and Wednesday as three golfers competed at the Saint Martin's Invitational.
Justin Goar led the way for Seattle University, rebounding from a first-round 81 (+10) to shoot scores of 73 (+2) and 72 (+1) in the final two rounds and finish in a tie for 20th place with a cumulative score of 226. Kevin Ormiston also played well on Wednesday, shooting 75 (+4) in the final round to finish in a tie for 34th place with a cumulative score of 238. Alex Schultz also competed in the two-day, three-round tournament for the Redhawks.
Seattle University heads right to its next event, as the men's golf team will compete in the 37th annual Viking Invitational hosted by Western Washington University Friday and Saturday, Sept. 26-27, at the Bellingham Golf and Country Club.
